Tawny Hues

Autumn in the meadow can be the most beautiful time of the year. The grasses, sedges and juncus give textural contrast to the turning aspen leaves. I am finally declaring victory, after 6 years, over the Canada Thistle that was once a dominant presence in this particular space.

The native species have flourished over this summer and create a balanced landscape.
